Audit Options

Command: AUDITOPTIONS (select audit options).
The HSM must be in the Secure Authorised state.

Function:     To select the method used to save entries in the audit log.

Inputs:        Do you want to switch methods? Y/N.

Outputs:     A text messages specifying the method in use. See example below.

Errors:        Command only allowed from secure-authorised – the HSM is not in secure state, is not in authorised state, or both.

Secure-AUTH> auditoptions <Return>

Audit log entries can be saved using the following methods:

 

A.  Add new entries, when 80% full - warn the user, when

    full - prevent all state changes (e.g. online to offline)

    until cleared, or

B.  Allow the audit log to overwrite the oldest entries.

 

The unit is currently using method B.

The system will now issue warnings when the audit log

is 80% full and completely full.  Note that if the

audit log becomes full the system will not allow any

state changes.
